Why do Indians sleep with their own family members? Serious Question!





I am an American white guy live in the US. Last year I met this Indian girl named Priya. Talk about hot!! The second I saw her I knew I wanted to be with her. We ended up getting together and for two months everything was perfect. Yea, it was weird that I couldn’t call her house phone at all or her cell after a certain time at night. Also she wouldn’t let me come to her house. But all of this was because she told me that it would take time for her to tell her family that she was dating a white guy. She is a Sikh and a Punjabi. She told be that her family is not racist, but they would not accept a Christian white man so easy. She lives with one older middle sister and her husband and two kids. The husband’s brother, who is married to the oldest sister who lives back in India, also lives in the house. I accepted all of this because I was so into her, and just let things continue.



Needless to say, things fell apart! After I finally met her best friend, (who she never let me talk to alone) who told me the whole truth about her, I broke it off. It turns out that my ex Priya had been sleeping with her brother in law for years. (The same brother in law she had told me had raised her!! Well I was shocked to hear that!) Her oldest sister, the one who has two kids with this guy, lives back home in India. And there is a middle sister, the one my ex lives with.



It turns out the brother in law who was married to the oldest sister first, then comes to the States, and marries the second sister to get papers while he is still married to the first sister. He has a kid with this second sister, and then ends up divorcing her. One month later one of his brothers comes over and with a simple change in spelling of the names, she marries the second brother. 11 months later another kid comes out. But for some reason, the brother of the guy is now raising the first kid as his own, as if he is the real dad. Now the oldest sister is fat and ugly, and she lives 10k miles away. But come on, having sex and acting like you’re in love with a girl you helped raise? While your sleeping with both her sisters, being married to one and divorced to the other?



So in my estimation, here is how this all plays out:

Priya (my ex) and her two older sisters, the oldest is Harjot, and the middle is Komal

The two brothers are Dilpreet and Dilraj



Dilpreet marries Harjot in India and has kids

Dilpreet and Harjot help raise Priya (my ex) as a child

Dilpreet moves to the States and marries Komal (still being married to Harjot)

Priya moves to the states as a young teen to live with Dilpreet and Komal

Dilpreet and Komal have a kid (in the States)

Dilpreet and Komal get divorced (in the States)

Komal and Dilraj get married (in the States)

Komal and Dilraj have a kid (in the States)

Priya starts dating Dilpreet, and they have still relations while she gets married to some dude

Priya gets divorced and moves back in with Dilpreet, Komal, Dilraj, and the kids

Priya starts sleeping with Dilpreet again while he is trying to get Harjot and the kids papers to come over

Priya meets me and we start dating she is still in a relationship with Dilpreet

I find out about everything, and I break it off with her!





So is this normal for Punjabi? Or Indian culture in general? I have never been with an Indian girl before. But I have to say after this, I probably won’t ever again! I just wanted to know if this kind of thing goes on all the time in Indian/Punjabi homes? Or did I meet the one messed up family out of the bunch! When I look at pics of my ex now, I still can’t believe how messed up she and her family really are!
